Blaine’s salon recently moved from a Park Cities location to a cozy spot nestled in off McKinney Avenue. There, with a expanded team of stylists, Blaine and his crew are working magic.
The big white space, well-lit with its bright windows, is full of pops of orange, Blaine’s signature color, and elegant furniture. Stations are minimalistic with beveled mirrors, and a big chain crystal chandelier hangs over the waiting area, where clients can shop Blaine’s eponymous product line or cases of CC Skye spiked cuffs and pyramid stud earrings. The salon recently hosted a media day, and Ryan and I popped over for a blowout. It was a treat.
See Manny for a serious scalp massage pre-blow-dry. So good. He masterfully took my usually-limp locks and twisted them into pretty, messy curls that lasted through my birthday celebration. And he did with a straightener. (Seriously.) The beauty bar on the opposite end of the salon has all the goods necessary for a full face makeover or a touch-up before a night out. New to the salon’s menu are spray tans, facials, teeth whitening, and face injections. My sisters-from-another-publication, over at People Newspapers, made a visit and share their reviews here. If you make an appointment, don’t leave without a little bottle of Blaine’s hair volumizer powder. The super-fine formula, practically translucent, is heat-activated, so you can run your hands through your hair all day and not worry that you’re undoing your dry shampoo.
Blaine’s has sent over a gift bag for a lucky giveaway winner and it includes a collection of in-house products: shampoo, conditioner, argan oil, argan mask, and every girl’s go-to hair gold, dry shampoo. To win, enter here.
