According to an email blast today, Drybar, the famous national blowout bar, responsible for inspiring many other blowdry-only studios, is upping its price per blowout.

From the Drybar team:

I wanted to give you a heads-up that starting October 1, the price for a blowout in Southern California, Dallas, Plano, Arizona and Atlanta will be increasing from $35 to $40.

Very candidly, given our increasing overhead costs during the past four years, this has become necessary to continue providing the same level of service and experience.

I know this is a bummer and we truly tried to maintain the $35 price in these markets as long as we possibly could (we’ve been at $40 in New York, San Francisco and DC for a while now), but simply cannot any longer.

I don’t think a $5 increase is outrageous, but fear not, there are plenty of $35 blowouts to be had in Dallas: The Hair Bar, Pouf, La Bichette, and Dear Clark are a few.
