Fashion's Night Out Dallas

Fashion's Night Out Dallas

It’s Year #4 for Vogue’s Fashion’s Night Out shopping initiative, and like all good shopaholic cities, Dallas is ready to party on Thursday, September 6. Here’s our guide to our favorite hot spots this year.

Where: Park Cities
When: 4 pm to 7 pm
Why: Hit up Elements for a little pre-party philanthropy. This Fashion’s Night Out shindig, co-hosted by Patron magazine benefits One Heart Project, which nobly benefits at-risk and incarcerated youth. Stop by for sweets and cocktails, music by Fred Holston, and complimentary valet, courtesy of Audi. Make a purchase, and you’ll receive a Jean Philippe makeover and a gift bag featuring jewelry designer Erica Weiner.
Sips & Bites: Cocktails by Urban Taco, Tart Bakery sweets, and champagne
RSVP: None

Where: Upper Greenville
When: 4 pm to 6 pm
Why: Consider Movida the perfect pre-Fashion’s Night Out stop. Like, an aperitif before dinner, if you will. Sip, munch, and enjoy a few live tunes. Need a makeup touch-up? Good. MAC artists will be on hand to spruce you up before your next stop. Stick around for the store’s fashion show at 5:15 pm. If you like what you see, go shopping. Your purchase will be 20 percent off.
Sips & Bites: Champagne and cupcakes
RSVP: None

Where: Uptown
When: 4 pm to 7 pm
Why: Creative festivities are happening at The Shak, Stanley Korshak’s contemporary boutique. Like, an interactive competition that challenges shoppers to style themselves from head to toe. Peruse your dream closet for the perfect ensemble, then pick out jewelry, shoes, and accessories. Makeup artists will help you get camera-ready, and a professional photographer will snap your good side. A panel of fashion bloggers will judge and to determine a winner. The entire evening benefits the Family Place.
Sips & Bites: Stoli cosmos and wine popsicles
RSVP: None

Where: Park Cities
When: 6 pm to 10 pm
Why: Highland Park Village is a hub of stylish activity during FNO. On top of two fashion shows produced by Jan Strimple (a luxury version at 7 pm and contemporary at 9 pm), each store hosts it’s only little fête, so you can bounce from shop to shop. It’s like trick-or-treating for cocktails. Find champagne at Carolina Herrera, Diane von Furstenberg, Escada, Harry Winston, and Vince; light bites and treats at Cole Haan, Kiehl’s, Leggiadro, Q Custom, and Warren Barrón; grown-up snow cones at Stella McCartney; skinny margaritas at Scoop NYC, an LED photo booth at Trina Turk; and limited edition FNO items at Chanel, Christian Louboutin, and Anne Fontaine.
Sips & Bites: Variety of bubbly and treats around the center
RSVP: None

Where: North Dallas
When: 6 pm to 10 pm
Why: It’s no surprise NorthPark Center, the city’s beloved shopping mecca, does it big for FNO. In addition to mini in-store parties around the mall, you’ll stumble upon beauty stations for product demos and mini makeovers and DJs spinning tunes scattered around the mall. Plus, catch one of three live fashion shows making their way down runways in NorthCourt: Nordstrom, H&M, and more at 6 pm; Neiman Marcus at 7 pm; and Ted Baker, Macy’s, and more at 8 pm. Don’t miss the retrospective of red carpet gowns at Roberto Cavalli, champagne at Barneys, FNO bedazzled tees at Henri Bendel, bubbly and macaroons at Hervé Léger, the Braid Bar at Madewell, limited edition DIY palette cases at Make Up For Ever, light bites and gifts with purchase at Stuart Weitzman, and bang trims, braids, and makeup touchups at Toni & Guy.

On Level Two you’ll find a Manolo Blahnik trunk show and live tunes, a Lagos trunk show with FNO edition nail lacquer, a Fendi Baguette handbag celebration, Ray-Ban gifts with purchase, and Cosabella demonstrations. Where: Knox
When: 7 pm to 9 pm
Why: Forty Five Ten still gets our vote for best place to shop for designer labels. Its edited mix of labels that are more high-fashion than highly flashy makes us swoon every time we visit, and we can’t think of a better spot to mix and mingle on FNO. DJ Lucy Wrubel will be spinning tunes while tequila cocktails and Tex-Mex hors d’oeuvres are passed around.

Where: Plano
When: 6 pm to 11 pm
Why: Neiman Marcus Willow Bend may be a quieter alternative to NorthPark on a regular day of the week, but during FNO, it should be packed full of partygoers. Enjoy live music by singer Aubree-Anna, live fashion sketches, a personal appearance by jewelry designer Stephanie Anne and the creators of Kale Naturals beauty products, and Tex-Mex drinks and bites being passed around. Catch one of three fashion shows: the couture canines fashion show to benefit the Collin County Humane Society at 6 pm; a Top Ten Trends for Fall show at 7 pm; and a Men’s Trends shows (featuring the FC Dallas soccer team) at 8 pm.

Shop for both new things (like Sundry pullovers, Indah caftans, and Jens Pirate Booty tunics) and vintage things (like floral print dresses and cover-ups), plus accessories like kitchy flower headbands and tablewear, along with sea-inspired jewelry full of fresh water pearls from Mignot Sisters.
Sips & Bites: Mai Tai cocktails and Tahitian snacks

Why: Add Snider Plaza’s Bittano boutique to your itinerary. On top of the 20 percent discount you’ll get on anything you purchase, you’ll also score complimentary OPI nail polishes. Sip, shop, score a discount. Sounds perfect to us. Plus, there’s still enough time to scoot over to another location to end the evening.
RSVP: None

Where: Park Cities
When: 9 pm to 11 pm
Why: Just when the party looks to be slowing down in Highland Park Village, it’s just getting started over at its official after party at LAFCO New York. Beauty products by Santa Maria Novella should be enough to seduce you on over, but free vodka cocktails, live tunes by DJ Jennifer Miller, and some of the best people watching of the night ought to do it, for sure.
Sips & Bites: Svedka vodka cocktails
RSVP: Email [email protected]

Where: Far North Dallas
