Fall Beauty at Neiman Marcus NorthPark

I’m a self-made beauty expert. I have volunteered to tackle the grueling task of testing every beauty product that comes my way, buying every lotion and potion stamped “new,” “improved,” or “guaranteed,” and being a victim of endless shades of lipsticks that don’t work for me (for the sake of experimentation). Two nights ago, Neiman Marcus NorthPark held a fall beauty preview for media. We made like kiddos and trick-or-treated around stations set up by Sisley, Laura Mercier, Xen-Tan, Guerlain, Dior, and the like. (It took three hours to make it around to everyone.) Each presenter showcased their fall collections and upcoming launches. After hearing the spiels of nearly 20 reps, promoting their fall wares, here’s what I’m most excited about (reviews coming soon):

VENEffect’s Anti-Aging Intensive Moisturizer. The line utilizes phytoestrogen technology to fight aging that VENeffect says is caused by declining levels of estrogen. Out now.
Sisley Pore Minimizer. We watched this skin primer smooth the backs of our hands in an instant. Ingredients make this formula an anti-aging product along with a cosmetic. Coming out in September.
Chantecaille’s elephant eyeshadow palette. Each season the company puts out a limited edition palette with philanthropic ties. This year’s shadow quad includes a sultry green, brown, gray, and cream and benefits orphaned elephants. How cute is that? Out this fall.
Tata Harper skincare. After learning a little about the line (like the founder’s mission to use only clean ingredients, the simplicity of the collection, the body oil), I want to try, smell, and lather myself in all of it. Out now.
Baby Quasar at-home Red Laser Light Therapy. LED therapies are being boasted as the it treatment at spas. The Quasar rep told us this brand produces the strongest and most effective at-home lasers of its kind on the market.

There’s more.

Trish McEvoy Precious Pink Jasmine perfume. I’m in love with her Sexy 4 Gardenia, which lasts all day, and looking forward to the next in her fragrance lineup. Out this fall.
Jo Malone’s new Blackberry & Bay fragrance. It’s fresh, crisp, slightly masculine, and a tad bit spicy. Out next month.
Kate Somerville DermalQuench Liquid Lift. It’s a take-home version of the celebrity esthetician’s beloved spa treatment. The mission is to deliver oxygen through the skin. Out now.
Xen Tan’s Hard to Reach Back Applicator. My favorite (and locally made) sunless tanning line has created a tool that makes it easier to spread your faux glow evenly down your back. Out now.
