We’re Giving Away the Perfect Date Night

I have had the pleasure of being treated to two evenings at iPic Theaters in the Village at Fairview (once when it was Gold Class Cinemas and more recently, as it’s now iPic). Both times I thought to myself, now this is how going to a movie should be. Much like mani/pedis, heading to the local AMC feels like a chore to me. Waiting in line, struggling to find seats, junky food and Icees, freezing your buns off… this is not the stuff a date night should be made of. But this chic theater got it right. Instead of checking in with a teenager popping gum in your face, you’ll check in like you do for reservations: with a friendly host who recommends you grab a drink from the bar while you wait for your showtime. The bar, called Salt Lounge, is elegant and cozy, serving up drinks like The Angelina with benedictine, champagne, hibiscus syrup, and rose petals and a full wine menu (goodbye, large sodas for $100 each). When you enter the theater, instead of finding Coke-stained chairs stuffed full of stale popcorn, you sit in suede Lazy Boys. Premium Plus seats (there are also Premium seats) recline and come with purse storage in the arm rest, pillows, blankets, and complimentary popcorn. Servers will take your order during previews so there’s no pesky waiter interference during the film. (Ahem, Studio Movie Grill.) Order everything your gluttonous heart desires all at once. The menu offers chef-made food like buffalo chicken spring rolls, a roasted portobello burger, flatbreads, truffle fries (to die for), and desserts (hello, cannolis). Sooo. To get to the point. We’re giving away two Premium Plus tickets with food (an appetizer, entree, and dessert per person) plus TWO drinks per person. As usual, enter here. Tell me why you need a date night. I’ll pick a winner early next week and contact you. You’ll be able to choose any movie you’d like. Get some help from FrontRow, where our critics dissect all the latest films.
