Anyone attending the Kappa Kappa Gamma Tablescapes event this year?
Yes? Then you must absolutely see the Linen Boutique’s mini beds, which will be on display during the event Oct. 18 – Oct. 19.
Oh. No, you say? You can’t make it? Don’t fret, pet. They’ll be on silent auction at Linen Boutique from Oct. 20 through Nov. 6.
What’s the big stinkin’ deal about doll-sized beds, you want to know?
Put it this way: they’re nicer than my life-sized bed at home. (And probably yours, too.) Each of the six beds is an exact replica of the fine-linen-ed real deal in the shop. Peacock Alley, Sferra, Matouk, and Ann Gish are just four of the lines that helped recreate these American Girl-sized beds. Mini mattresses are covered in scaled-down versions of the linens with fitted and flat sheets, coverlets, bed skirt, pillow shams and cases, and decorative pillows. Pillows and duvets are stuffed with 100% Hungarian down feathers from the Pillow Bar. Bedframes are antique designs. These are legit, folks. The bidding will start at $250 each, but I doubt the prices will stay down low. Twenty percent of the sales will go back to the Kappa Kappa Gamma Tablescapes to benefit the nonprofit event’s five beneficiaries. If you don’t have the dough to indulge yourself with one of these collectibles, at least go make a visit at Linen Boutique to check them out. More pictures after the jump.
