Lure Salon Opens in West Village

Kristin and I stopped in West Village’s newest salon yesterday to have a quick look. Lure Salon, as it’s called, is promoting this sort of natural, organic vibe, and you can see it immediately when you walk in the door. The space is open, window-y, and furnished in light wood with pops of orange. Designer Bryan Wetz stayed true to his trademark modern-with-natural-materials thing, and we like the clean look. (I could have stayed in one of the restrooms forever with its glossy black walls and funky silver chandelier.) In the center of the shop sits a fantastic weathered wooden bench under a table that’s stocked with healthy treats. Yesterday, we spied mixed dried fruits, chocolate covered almonds, and detox tea. (But don’t worry fellow drinkers; wine and beer is served, as well.) To see the space yourself, head to Lure’s launch party on Friday night from 6 pm to 9 pm for champagne, swag bags, and hors d’oeuvres by AMPM chef Tommy Simpson. No RSVP necessary. Lure Salon is across from Lash Studio and next to our favorite dehairer, Wink. Don’t hesitate to book an appointment, either. The owners are transfers from Osgood O’Neil.
