Swoozie’s Closing and the Sale is Worth a Visit

Went into Swoozie’s yesterday during my Plaza at Preston Center run (see below), and though it broke my heart to see that the store lost its struggle, the discounts were crazy good. Everything in the store–everything–is at least 50 percent off. Wrapping paper in fun, unusual prints is 50 percent off. Tissue paper is even less, at around $1 to $2 a pack. Cocktail ware, like martini and champagne glasses, sells for around $4 a piece. Crane stationery is discounted down to 70 percent off. I bought an adorable set of mini Kate Spade giraffe cards for a baby shower gift. It was $8 from $16. Find furry stuffed animal slippers, Fourth of July garb, and all kinds of Halloween and Christmas decorations, too. And on top of the slashed prices, if you spend more than $25 in the store, you get an additional chunk off your purchase. Get in quickly to see what you can find and stock up on presents for future gift giving.
