I have been feverishly testing a plethora of eye make-up removers for the past month or so – a different one on each eye every night. While I’ve found that all of them work well, there are a few that stand out as my favorites for various reasons. Over time, I have learned that different products work best for different people depending on lifestyle, skin tone, skin type, coloring, preferences, etc. So just because I like something doesn’t necessarily mean you will or vice versa. With that said, I will list all the removers I have tried out as well as my favorites and why. Products tested are: Dior Duo Magique, Dior Eau Magnifique, June Jacobs, Kiehl’s Supremely Gently eye Make-up Remover, YSL Demaquillant Yeux, Cures by Avance, Ole Henriksen Purifying Eye Make-up Remover, Jemma Kidd Cleansing Wipes, Dermatologica Soothing Eye Make-up Remover, Mac Pro Eye Make-up Remover, Nars, Too Faced, Kiehl’s Oil-Based Cleanser, Philosophy Purity and Clinique Rinse-off Eye Make-up Solvent.
Of those, I like the Ole Henriksen because they are pre-moistened pads and this lazy editor appreciates their simplicity, their cleaning power and lack of residue. The Clinique Rinse-Off Eye Make-up Solvent is a good one for me as well because my face is sensitive to temperatures and it isn’t cold on my lids, it doesn’t leave any greasy residue and it cleans thoroughly and quickly. Another good one is Kiehl’s Supremely Gentle Eye Make-up Remover because it too comes off really fast and I don’t have to rub much. It doesn’t leave any residue either. Honestly though. like I said, none of them were bad and they all cleaned well. If you try any of them let me know what you think!
