Glitter Makes my Heart Flitter

That was lame. Sorry. But these polishes are amazingly fun. Come on, admit it. Even though you’re a “grownup,” you can’t help but get excited when you see this much glitter. Don’t worry, though. These polishes were created with high fashion-conscious grownups in mind. This line of glitzy lacquers was inspired by the 2009 spring and summer fashion lines. “I’ve never seen so many sequins, embroideries, shimmering metallics and jewels sewn into fabrics,” Ji Baek, owner of Rescue Beauty Lounge, says of the collections. Glitter isn’t just for little girls anymore. “My goal was to create chic grown up glitter.” The goal included affordability, too. Each polish was inspired by the current economic state: (right to left) Frugalista, Locavore, and Look Rich, Be Cheap. Sadly, we don’t have our own Rescue Beauty Lounge here, but ordering online’s a piece of cake, anyway. Go to www.rescuebeauty.com for these $18 gems. They’re easy to apply, stay put, and with all the twinkle on your fingers, you can’t tell when they’ve chipped. (Which is perfect if you’ve cut some of the frequent manicures from your budget.)
