Frinj Salon and Spa: Who Says the Suburbs Aren’t Cool?

Last week I visited Frinj Salon & Spa in Plano and found so much more than I expected. Let’s face it. The suburbs are stereotyped as being conservative and boring but Plano is turning that image around (along with Frisco, McKinney and Allen too). The ‘burbs are beginning to have personalities of their own – winning personalilties at that. And Frinj was a perfect example. It’s a modern and inviting one-stop shop for everything from haircuts to pedis to massages to botox. With their funky decor and quality product lines (Bumble & bumble, Difiaba, Bare Minerals, Skinceuticals and more) Frinj proves that they are on the pulse of what’s happening in the salon and spa world.

From the moment I walked in the door I was treated like royalty and from the looks of it, they treat all their clients that way (seriously, I watched). I was scheduled for a mani/pedi and each were given in a different part of the salon – the manicure in a bright, airy location next to floor-to-ceiling windows with the warm late afternoon sun kissing my cheeks, and the pedicure in a sexy, darker location where I melted into the red and purple velvet sofa while my tired feet were made happy again.

And they don’t just make their clients happy. The employees at Frinj believe in giving back so they often donate their time by treating homeless children to hair and nail services at the salon. They also participate in the Locks of Love program offering 50% off on haircuts for those donating their hair to the cause.

But wait! There’s more! Frinj is the perfect place to gather the girls for a party. Be it a shower, birthday or whatever, they can easily accommodate groups. Pricing is reasonable, parking is plentiful and pleasure is guaranteed. So get the chicks together for a day of pampering suburban-style. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.
