Today is the last day to get your tickets ($12 if you purchase online or $18 at the door – if there’s any available) for the local fashion event that will feature the 2009 lines of 26 independent designers from Texas. The event, that attracted over 1200 people last year, will be held in the remodeled Union Station (a Wolfgang Puck property). The Pin Show, started by independent designers Rachel Nichelson and Julie McCullough Kim (founder of Make Shop in the Bishop Arts District) in 2007, will showcase over 130 looks in women’s, men’s and children’s fashions, as well as accessories. Sharing the stage, creating a musical piece exclusively for the event, will be emerging talents Disco-Disco and Schwa. The show will also preview local student design with students from area fashion design programs. Guests can shop the on-site PINS boutique for looks right off the runway (15% of purchases will be donated to Attitudes & Attire). Get out there and show your support for local talent. Doors open at 7, show starts at 8, afterparty to follow. See you there!
