Remembering the Oscars

With the big show coming up this Sunday, I thought it only appropriate to pay tribute to Oscars past. No, not the motion pictures, actors, directors, and technical heroes of the show, but the real stars. Let’s remember the gowns. I can always count on PopSugar for a fun quiz, so here you can guess who wore the “memorable” outfit. And here at People.com, you can do the same. Access Hollywood’s got their pics for the 10 most “memorable” gowns here, while the Boston Globe via Boston.com chose eight “showstopping” gowns here. And here we’ve got a larger selection of “memorable” gowns thanks to About.com. What have we learned from this? Don’t wear a swan as a dress, only wear a headdress if you’re Cher, and whatever you do, wear something MEMORABLE.

Now, let’s come up with ShopTalk’s 10 Most Memorable Gowns. Discuss in the comments. And, go!
