Something you should know about my job: It’s not all Bachelor recaps and Lisa Loeb interviews. Sometimes I get to scout homes, which is what I did yesterday. I visited some folks who live in a very cool midcentury modern house that is visited by bobcats, coyotes, and owls. More on that later. What’s important here is that, in the few minutes I was there, I realized just how uncool I am. I mean, even these people’s kids are hipper than I am. Check out the tiny table and chair at left. (Apologies for the blurry pic. I dropped my iPhone at Al’s a few months back on a particularly tough night and it’s not been the same since.)
