This weather is confusing. The calendar tells me it’s winter, so I dress in black tights and boots and dark colors. But then you walk outside and its gorgeous! So then I want to lose the tights—until I realize how deathly pale my legs are. (No one wants to see that.) Well, if I’ve learned anything on this job it’s that the sun is the devil, so I guess I’ll have to learn to love the spray tan. And the Spa at the Crescent is one a few locations in Dallas that has the St. Tropez tanning booth, which uses soft spray technology for natural golden glow and a fan-based venting system that extracts the overspray. (Does that word remind anyone else of the scene in Bridget Jones’s Diary when her mom is demonstrating that egg thingy?) And, for a limited time, guests will receive pricing usually reserved for members. The 80-minute “A Summer Glow” package includes a full body scrub; a scalp, hand and foot massage with reflexology; and an airbrush tan for $140. The 50-minute “Spa Tan” includes exfoliation treatment and airbrush tan for $100. Or a single spray tan experience is $50.
