Dragon St – Where to be on Saturday Night

|
Image

It’s that time again, when the galleries on and around Dragon St open Saturday night from 5- 8 for strolling around, hobnobbing with the artists, and generally acting cool.  Don’t expect to get intoxicated because the wine is usually pretty bad – but, hey, the entertainment is great and you can actually learn something.  Unless you, unlike me, know a lot about art.  I love this work by Ron Pokrasso “There’s a Story Behind Her” at the Craignead-Green Gallery – it intrigues me and draws me in.  Or this work by Johnny Robertson “Twenty Hong Kong Dollars” at Conduit Gallery with the Kerouac-esque images of being on the road again.
