The Year of the Ox at Loyd-Paxton

By Peggy Levinson |
Image

2009 is the Chinese year of the Ox, and our extraordinary antiques purveyors Loyd-Paxton are featuring just the piece to celebrate – a large (44″ x 21″) serpentine jade Ox. They will also be using the symbolism in their upcoming design projects.  Can we look forward to buffalo hide upholstery?  By the way, in keeping with Obama’s inaugural address, the ox sign symbolizes prosperity through fortitude and hard work.  Ox people work hard without complaints, and know that they will succeed through hard work and sustained efforts.
