Dolce & Gabbana Cosmetics!

By Kristin Hull |

Next month Dolce & Gabbana will introduce their new cosmetics line to the world. This is their first foray into cosmetics and they have decided to use Scarlett Johasson in their sexy, Marilyn Monroe-like advertising campaign. Products are a bit pricey but hey, it’s D&G so can you blame them? Nail lacquers will be $20 (yikes! we were just discussing the pros and cons of expensive polish here yesterday), mascara will go for $28, lipsticks are at $30, eye shadow duos at $36 and perfect finish powder, $59. But hey, if they’re as amazing as they are claiming, I’d pay it. Colors in the collection were inspired by their loves – “intense blues for the Mediterranean; black and gold – for the volcanic island Stromboli where the designers spend their summer vacation – and a deep burgundy that recalls the color of one of Gabbana’s favorite flowers, the dahlia.” The line will be carried exclusively by Saks in the U.S. but initially only at the Fifth Avenue and Beverly Hills stores. So if you’re headed to the east or west coast be sure to go check it out. Depending on sales, Saks may expand to other stores in the future.
