Re: True-ly Beautiful

Remember that True Cosmetics event at The Spa at The Ritz-Carlton we told you about earlier this week? Well, it was awe-some. (For us, definitely.) We walked away with a tummy full of tea, a face of fresh makeup and a passion for some new products. Rich Campbell, the national educator for True Cosmetics, made us over with the company’s antioxidant-rich mineral foundation and a variety of colored powder shadows and blushes. We loved how soft and smooth our skin looked and the makeup’s barely-there feel. It’s no wonder True is the only makeup line in the Ritz spa here in Dallas. Our fav products? Jump for them.

Protective Mineral Foundation, $50

It gave our face a soft, romantic look without the chalky finish. And the lightweight feel made us forget we were even wearing makeup.

Protective Shadow Primer, $24

Rich told us the stuff would keep our shadow in place so well, we’d have to work to get it off our lids. We tested the claim at a hot, sticky concert last night. Sure enough, at closing time, the shadow was still hanging on.

Transforming Mineral Mist, $17

This could become a serious addiction. The fine spray set our makeup, giving us a natural glow and all-day hold. Plus, the reinvigorating smell soothed our stresses away. For a brief moment, anyway.

Sheer Lip Shine, $16

Our chapped lips have never been so happy in a coat of gloss. The peppermint scent is soothing, and the conditioners kept our lips feeling moisturized all day. The Spa at The Ritz-Carlton at 2121 McKinney Ave. or www.truecosmetics.com
