Before you get in that drive-thru line during your next rushed lunch break, you might want to check out Diet.com‘s Nutrition on the Go tool. By sending a text message to DIET1 (or 34381), you can receive nutritional info on more than 36,000 foods from 1,700 restaurants. For example, I typed in “Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich” and found out that one of my favorite fried guilty pleasures has 410 calories, 16 grams of fat, 38 grams of carbohydrates, and 28 grams of protein. The service is free, but if you’re like me and you went over on your text messaging plan last month by 189 texts, you should think before you type. Go here for an interactive demonstration that won’t count toward your texting budget. But be warned: it’s kind of addictive. Like that blasted chicken sandwich.
