Though 4321 North Crest Haven Road is practically next door to Love Field, this 1949 build has a sense of seclusion. The home is set back from the street, hidden behind storied trees, enveloped by dense greenery–it’s like a little slice of nature in the heart of the city.

The façade on this three-bedroom home has a bay window, a multi-peak roof, and an inviting front porch. Despite renovations in 2008 and 2019, the exterior isn’t excessively modern, and the original character still shines through.

Once inside, guests are greeted by a column fireplace, a pitched ceiling, and a stately staircase. Arched cased openings create a subtle distinction between each room, but the lower level’s floorplan is largely open. The living room, adorned with multiple built-ins, flows into the kitchen, and a wet bar is tucked off to one side. Oversized windows offer the first look into the backyard.

Continue through the kitchen to the primary suite; with a recessed ceiling and glass French doors, it appears especially roomy.

The additional bedroom on the bottom floor embraces its bay window as a reading nook. Upstairs, one bedroom has a window seat that we’d love to curl up in; the other, which would be an ideal nursery or kids’ room, has a vaulted ceiling and a cozy layout. This story also houses a home office with an angular ceiling and a view of the lower level.

The backyard of 4321 North Crest Haven steals the show. The multi-level space descends from a patio down to a grassy area; gnarled tree branches are curled overhead, and twinkling lights and cobblestones give off a storybook feel.
