6510 Stichter Avenue, which sits deep in the heart of Preston Hollow, is a 7,000-square-foot build with a Southern French feel. Its lime-washed white exterior is complemented by gray shutters, lattice details, and clean-lined landscaping. Yes, the façade is lovely, but it’s what’s inside that drew me in.

Each space is intentionally and artfully designed, and even the most simple décor would feel high-end here. The dining room is wallpapered with a navy blue grasscloth and topped off by a retro-inspired sunburst chandelier. The kitchen is spacious and sophisticated, lined with custom powder blue cabinetry and sprinkled with gold accents. A breakfast nook is equally eye-catching, with playfully patterned walls and built-in benches.

The star of the show, though, is an oft-overlooked room: the master bath. A marble bathtub and black double vanity are paired with unexpectedly moody wallpaper, and the result feels both contemporary and Old Hollywood.

These days, there’s something especially satisfying about photos of impeccably designed interiors. (Especially if your own home is currently disheveled from sheltering in place, as mine is.) Treat yourself to a virtual tour of this home with the gallery below.
