A Night at the Adolphus

Model Lisa Bull and her daughter, Sophia, embark on a storybook staycation.

Lisa Bull longs to be a homebody. She and her husband, singer-songwriter Chris Donohoe, co-own The Dram and Boxwood Tap & Grill, and her work hours are a flurry of activity. So it’s no surprise that the Texas-born mother, model, and aspiring graphic designer spends her days off hunkered down. “I’ve always been a bit of a nester. I have a huge stack of shelter magazines like Martha Stewart Living, Elle Decor, and D Home waiting to be perused. Sophia and I also love to make things together. We definitely have the crafting bug. But once Sophia is in bed, Chris and I make a beeline for the couch to talk and maybe watch a bit of TV. Our jobs are very social, so I like to keep our weeknights nice and chill. We love to just hang out together.”

“Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
Lewis Carroll, Through the Looking Glass

“All Nature was wide awake and stirring, now; long lances of sunlight pierced down through the dense foliage far and near, and a few butterflies came fluttering upon the scene.”
Mark Twain, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
