Matt Born is the Denton general manager for 84 Lumber, the nation’s leading privately held supplier of building materials, manufactured components, and industry-leading services for single- and multi-family residences and commercial buildings. Born’s professional experience spans more than two decades, making him one of the best in the business and one of 84 Lumber’s strongest managers.
Born started with 84 Lumber in 2001 at the Clarksville, Arkansas store. He quickly was promoted to contractor sales representative, and in 2004 became the manager of that store. Since then, Born has managed three additional stores–Bethel Heights, Arkansas; South Houston; and now Denton, where he has been the manager since 2019 and continues his stellar management and proven track record of success.
With multiple delivery trucks running daily, it’s crucial for the store to be extremely organized and focused with always keeping logistics at the forefront of every project. “Hands down, our unmatched customer service sets us apart from our competitors,” Born says. “We are mindful of our customers’ challenges; we serve them with honesty, empathy, and adaptability.”

With another record-breaking year expected in 2022, 84 Lumber Denton is already planning multiple expansion projects to improve efficiencies and production to meet and exceed expectations.
