BrainDead Brewing

The brewers at this Deep Ellum spot produce at least six and sometimes as many as 10 in-house beers a week. Plus, there are 32 taps to choose from. Grab one of BrainDead’s Gritz cream ales and watch the sunset on the glorious patio. You can fill your belly with popcorn popped in duck fat or the Coma Burger, a massive patty of ground brisket and bacon.

Small Brewpub

Without a doubt, the best upscale brewpub experience in Dallas. When head brewer Aaron Garcia isn’t busy brewing Black Pepper Pils or Dark Season, a Belgian-style saison, he’s harvesting trees to build a patio addition. Chef Misti Norris is equally ambitious. Her exotic charcuterie plates and short list of entrées have attracted national attention.

Noble Rey Brewing Co.

You can usually find six to 10 of their beers on tap including the Golden Rey, a Bavarian wit, and the Baracus, an American brown ale. And if you’re lucky you might get a taste of one of their small-batch beers. The remaining taps feature local, state, and hard-to-find beers. You’ll also find an impressive wine list and hard cider from Bishop Cider Co. in Oak Cliff.
