Shamrock, 1-year-old Yorkshire Terrier

Parents:
Jocelyn Rubio and Christopher Castillo

How did Shamrock come into your life?
Jocelyn: My best friend had a Yorkie, and I became obsessed. I stumbled upon a breeder who had puppies on St. Patrick’s Day, so at that point I took it as a sign. I’ve always loved all things Irish.

If Shamrock could speak English, what do you think he would say about all of this?
Christopher: “I’m cute on a daily basis. I don’t know what all the fuss is about.”

What does the future hold for Shamrock?
Christopher: Many more years of being spoiled.

Meet the 31 other dogs, chosen from hundreds of nominations, that Shamrock beat out to win the crown in our 2014 Survival of the Cutest competition.
