Molto Formaggio
A European-style shop that will help you pair a wine or gourmet nibble with your cheese. It creates some of the best gift baskets in town.

Mozzarella Company
Owner Paula Lambert operates her cheese factory in Deep Ellum with a tiny storefront, but her cheeses can be found at gourmet grocers and on menus across the city. The mozzarella and burrata are legendary, following centuries-old recipes from Italy.

Scardello
In addition to fine cheeses from around the world, the Oak Lawn shop offers Cheese 101 and special pairing classes. Warning: the classes sell out quickly.

The Magnolia Cheese Co.
Owner and cheesemonger Elizabeth Northern opened her shop in 2012. It carries the area’s widest selection of Texas-made artisanal cheeses. Magnolia’s cafe is delicious, too. Don’t miss the whiskey-cured salmon and chile-garlic creme fraiche sandwich.
