From neutral to neon, we saw it all painted on the lips of models strutting the spring runways. Powerful pouts of pink, peach, red, and even blue made statements at Louis Vuitton, John Galliano, Ruffian, Valentino, and Thakoon (waiting lists for this Lancôme designer series lip color open this month). Local makeup artist Sara Domi created this look using spring’s hottest hues: pink, blue (even on nails), and gold. Her tip for working with the season’s bold palette: “When using shine on the eyes or lips, keep the rest of the face matte.”

Lauren is wearing MAC Pigment in Antique Gold ($20) and Beauty Powder in Soft Flame ($21), both available at MAC, NorthPark Center; Bed Head Cyberoptics eye shadow in Navy ($14/Toni & Guy salons); Lancôme Precision Point liquid liner in Black ($27) and Definicils mascara ($23), both available at Lancôme, NorthPark Center; Chanel 49 Luna powder blush ($40/Neiman Marcus Downtown); Dior Rouge lipstick in Pink Flash ($26/Sephora, NorthPark Center); Chanel nail colour in Blue Satin ($19/Chanel, Highland Park Village); and 18-karat rubelite and tourmaline ring ($1,450/Caroline Carlisle Designs, 214-827-1509). In hair: Colette Malouf cotton floral pin ($24/www.colettemalouf.com); vintage button cluster (stylist’s own).
