Burger Boutique

Ah, the holidays. While many try to avoid it, a trip to NorthPark Center for gift buying is almost inevitable. You deserve a treat just for finding a parking spot. With that in mind, take your weary self to the Burger Bar at Neiman Marcus. Executive chef Jeremy Neilson gives diners total control of their sandwich, with five different meat options, four types of buns, gourmet toppings, and six different types of cheese. Once you craft your burger, pick thin, sweet potato, or Yukon steak fries (they’ve also got salads), and zone out while watching whatever’s on the flat-screen television above the bar. The burger comes out in a flash, set upon a white square plate, with a pickle wedge and a silver cup full of fries. They also offer Häagen-Dazs milkshakes for a sweet kick, but we think a glass of Champagne would be more appropriate. This is Neiman’s, after all. Inside the NM Cafe at NorthPark on Level Three. 214-891-1210.
