Green and blue eye shadow is wearable for spring. We promise.

EYE OPENER
Green and blue eye color is back. Only better.

WE KNOW WHAT YOU’RE THINKING: WE MUST BE CRAZY. But hear us out. Shades of green and blue eye shadow might bring back memories of high school makeup gone wrong, but this spring’s gorgeous oceanic colors are completely modern. The new sheer shades and formulas go perfectly with those warm-weather frocks you’re ready to wear. Makeup artist Joanna Hathcock gave us blow-by-blow instructions on how to perfect the look without going over the top. Start with a shimmery duo like Nars Rated R or Melody by MAC. Concentrate most of the pigment on the lid, near the lashes. Lightly blend the pop of color upward toward the brow to make a gradual transition from color to nude skin. Put a few coats of mascara on the upper lashes. Next, line the lower inner lash line with a flesh-tone pencil. This makes eyes appear bigger. Finally, with a small, stiff, slanted brush, line the lower lash line with some of the shadow that you applied to your lid. Voilà! So simple, so chic, and so spring.

CLUB KIDS
Club Monaco
, our favorite place to buy sleek Euro clothing without the steep Euro price, is opening its second Dallas boutique this month at NorthPark Center. More than 5,000 square feet of white walls, black-and-white photography, walnut display units, and exotic wood floors are at your disposal. And we can’t say enough about that spring line—think black blazers, pinstriped shirts, and fuchsia shorts paired with kitten heels; crisp khaki combos mixed with splashes of summery color; and cargo pants cinched at the knee. We want it all. Mon-Sat, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.; Sun, noon-6 p.m.

CHOO-CHOO
Ladies, you don’t have to brave a mall for your shoe fix. Jumping on the Jimmy Choo train is so simple now that the store is opening in Highland Park Village the last week of March. Known for sky-high, sexy stilettos, Jimmy Choo has put Manolo Blahnik on his heels in recent years. And with the new ’40s-style lavender boudoir boutique, they’re sure to gain even more followers in Dallas. Celebrity fans of the ultra-fem line include Sarah Jessica Parker, Fergie, and rapper’s delight Lil’ Kim.

JUNGLE FEVER
Unless you’ve been living in a youth hostel in Croatia, you’ve no doubt heard about home couture company Havana 1515. Cuban-born hermanas Rita and Sara Vazquez have taken bed linen and pillow design to the extreme. So it’s no surprise that we went loca for their Flora and Fauna Botanical Collection. Cushy, cool green pillows mixed with bright foliage and animal-print fabrics are the perfect combination for a cozy, lush bedroom. Think sunny days, open windows, warm breezes, and sitting pretty surrounded by Old World beauty. Pillows from $120. Call 214-941-8700.
