THE ACHIEVERS 1996 Club Champions

Camaraderie becomes competition once a year at area country clubs.
|

ALONG WITH THE AREA’S GAME BUILDERS, OUR community’s golf mettle can be measured by our country club champions. Once a year, the camaraderie in the clubhouse subsides and the competitive drive takes over. Country clubs, typically sites of posh civility, and golf, a game of dignified grace, feature heated rivalries and pressured putts, subtle strategies and trash talk. Club members forget their friendly year-round foursomes and look out for No. 1, in the pursuit of being No. 1. Last year, these club members rose to the top under the guise of gamemanship and in the spirit of sport, and this year, they’ll be the target of everyone beneath them.
