IS YOUR HOME REALLY YOUR CASTLE?

Tap Into America’s Hottest Lifestyle Trends at the 13th Annual Fall Dallas Home and Garden Show Presented by The Home and Apartment Builders of Metropolitan Dallas, September 20-22, Only at Market Hall.
By Susan Lefevre |

The 13th Annual Fall Dallas Home & Garden Show promises to be a family event with something for everyone. Producer Michael Clark brings an enormous array of passions and interests to his work.

When he’s not producing events, you might find him performing blues guitar in a smoky club or attending classes as a full-time candidate for his Psychology Doctorate. In between producing, making music and hitting the books, Michael is also working toward becoming a licensed professional counselor. Combine all of these interests with the nineties need to nest and de-stress, and you’ve got a Home & Garden Show as diverse as its producer.

Over the past 13 years, the Show has evolved into not only a home builder’s resource but a lifestyle exposition for the whole family. Exhibits ranging from plumbing fixtures to exotic pets create a colorful, interesting, and informative playground for homeowners of all ages.

Home & Garden Show ties with the local construction and remodeling industry have strengthened and remain a solid base from which to grow, but show visitors’ needs have changed. The overall home environment is a product of many small purchases and design decisions. Homeowners need a place to relax and enjoy family and friends, Pets, gardens, bathroom fixtures, appliances, wall treatments and lighting, are all part of the mix.

When choosing construction materials, fabrics, tiles or paint, homeowners should seek guidance from professionals who can make their dreams reality. What kind of flooring is best when you’re raising children?

How can busy couples find time to cook a hot meal when both work? Or, what color in the bedroom will encourage a restful slumber? The Dallas Home & Garden Show has answers to all these questions and more.

Professional interior designers, chefs, gardeners, builders, and naturalists provide a wide range of assistance for show visitors wanting to orchestrate a top-to-bottom home experience. The goal is to provide the kind of one-stop shopping todays busy families require- an endless variety of speakers, exhibits, sample items, fabrics, flooring, gardening equipment and building materials, all under one roof.

With a little creativity and know-how, your home can reflect your personality as well as provide a comfortable haven for family and friends. Thoughtful planning during your visit to the 13th Annual Fall Dallas Home & Garden Show is a great place to start.

Beautiful Designer Gardens

Gardens at the Market Hall entrance contain a feast of fail color including Texas native flowers and plants as well as begonias, hyacinths, daffodils, azaleas, hibiscus and chrysanthemums. These masterpieces were created by the Dallas Chapter of the Texas Association of Landscape Contractors (TALC).

Recognizing that North Texas landscapes comprise a variety of styles and trends, the Dallas TALC Chapter has also created an enormous garden complex at the center of the show. The complex features five different landscapes by top area professional landscapers. Hundreds of man hours and thousands of dollars have been invested to create the ultimate landscape shopping experience.
