D MAGAZINE DREAMHOUSE BY DILLARD’S

|

D Magazine has created the dream home for the nineties. Full of warm wood, plush upholstery, and elegant accent pieces, our breathtaking 2,000 square foot exhibit features room vignettes showcasing the latest in interior design from Dillard’s. Dreams become reality at the 13th Annual Dallas Home & Garden Show, with the help of Dillard’s design experts and Century Furniture Industries.

Century’s Town & Country collection creates the proper balance between elegance and durability with upholstery in cotton prints, woven jacquards, sophisticated mohairs, and lush velvets. Furniture materials of choice include silver maple, all finished in an extraordinary time-worn and hand-smoothed finish called “Vintage,” as well as accent pieces of iron, stone, and glass.

Century’s Vice President and Creative Director Michael Delgaudio emphasizes an upbeat philosophy for home decorating. “We’re making furniture fun,” he explains, “taking things a little less seriously, and taking the edge off of formality.” Addressing today’s casual lifestyles with rich, natural colors and fabrics, Century Furniture Industries has focused its 1996 upholstery efforts on achieving relaxed, comfortable elegance. “Today’s consumer demands furniture that is both comfortable and fashionable,” Delgaudio adds. “Our response is to offer a broad selection of silhouettes, cushions, colors, fabrics and trim choices, allowing consumers many options to create upholstered furniture that will reflect their own personal style.”

“Each piece was carefully selected for its timeless design appeal and multiple room function,” says Tom Tilley, Senior Vice President of Wood Products. “We’ve utilized solid wood construction for most pieces in the collection because of its inherent authenticity and its ability to accept heavily antiqued finishes. The result is a very special collection of items for very special places.”

Versatile home decorating with a dash of traditional elegance is in high demand. Don’t miss this opportunity to see the big picture while rubbing elbows with the design experts from Dillard’s. A quick trip through the D Magazine Dream House will open up a world of decorating possibilities.
