Podiatrists – The Foot Care Specialists

Just like all other areas of the body, the foot has its medical specialist, the Podiatrist. Like dentists, cardiologists and other specialists, the podiatrist has undergone extensive training in his field of practice and provides state-of-the-art treatment. The podiatrist is the only specialist exclusively trained in the care of the foot and other related problems.

A graduate of Fresno State University and the California College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Miller is board certified in foot and ankle surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

“Podiatrists are skilled surgeons, but alternatives to surgery should be considered first,” adds Dr. Young. “When indicated, modern surgical techniques can result in less pain and récupéra-tion time. After surgery, most patients can walk without crutches, and rapidly return to normal activities.”

A graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and the California College of Pediatric Medicine, Dr. Young completed his residency in Dallas. He is a fellow of the American College of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Medicine, and was the director of Podiatric Residency training at a local hospital for more than 10 years.
