Last year Bollinger, a fitness products manufacturer based in Irving, hired good ol’ Number 88 to pitch its line of nose strips, which competes with the better-known Breathe Right brand. Vice president of marketing Pat Carrithers, who doesn’t know how many of the breathe-like-Mike items are still on supermarket shelves, says the Irvin affair is “not really a nightmare” for the company, which produces more than 400 sports-related products from weight belts to aerobic steps. -Jennifer Briggs
