I HAD MY CARD READY TO SUBSCRIBE TO D Magazine. I was in Tom Thumb this morning when I had to look twice at the magazine rack. I could not believe what I saw-my friend Kay Bailey Hutchison, vulgarly displaying herself in a stars and stripes mini two-piece bathing suit ! I asked the lady standing in line at the pay station, “Is that Kay Bailey Hutchison?” She said, no, that D had put the senator’s head on the body of someone else. The lady had read somewhere how embarrassed Kay Bailey Hutchison had been over this trick you had played on her. Shame on you! !

1 will never again trust your honesty or integrity in journalism. Therefore, I have changed my mind about subscribing to your D Magazine.

Regarding Chris Tucker’s article on the lottery [“Guilty Pleasures,” July], 1 think if he checks his calculator he will discover that he will be 1,350 years old by the time he earns.$55 million (not 135 years as stated).

Your radio guide in the July issue [“1995 Newcomers Guide”] is incorrect. 99,1 FM, KDZR, has been Tejano music since the end of January. And since the guide is for newcomers, why not mention that Howard Stern can be heard mornings on KEGL?? Newcomers will be more interested in that, especially if they’re from the Northeast.

When it came to mentioning personal-ities on the AM band, your staff chose to focus on only one radio station [KLIF 570]-a station that, currently, is the 22nd rated radio station in the Dallas/Fort Worth market. There was no mention of the talent to be heard on other news and talk oriented radio stations. Stations measure their success by ratings and revenue. I’m curious why market leaders such as Hal Jay, Mark Davis, and Randy Galloway had no place in your profile.

Also, the listing for Good Shepherd School should have read: The tuition (including registration fee) ranges from $2,010 to $4,960. There are 480 students and 38 teachers, 14 with advanced degrees.
