Move over, trusty old 214. Like it or not, a new area code-972-is muscling into the Dallas area next February. After that, any new phone customer will be a 972er. According to local numerologists, however, the change means more than just another irritating string of numbers to memorize:
9 (7 + 2 = 9) = 9 + 9=18 = 1+8 = 9
Kristena Henderson, Carrollton: “Nine is a number of completion and fulfillment, the end number in the cycle of numbers. Once you go through the completion, then you’re ready for new beginnings. It’s a very unself-Centered number and brings a new tone into the city. It shows a turning more to humanitarian efforts and philanthropy for Dallas.”
Robart Harisaun, Dallas: “Three nines indicate that Dallas is coming full circle. Dallas has been going through a lot of growing pains recently, so it’s a progression to another level. It’s a time of spiritual growth. We will be facing and resolving a number of issues that have been ignored and integrating on a physical, social, and spiritual level.”
