And they’re still going. . .Jim Kennedy of Hunt Valley, Maryland, continues to lead D Magazine’s year-long stock market contest, with a pack of D readers, nine local experts, and a class of University of North Texas students still hoping that their portfolios will catch the front-runner. Kennedy’s stock picks had gained 86 percent at the time D went to press. Reader Brian Olson has moved into second place with 67 percent growth. The big news in both of these portfolios has been the rise of IOMEGA stock, which has jumped 344 percent since the competition began in January. Our leading expert is still Stacy Oelson, whose portfolio is now up 30 percent.
