Swim City

DALLAS MAY BE LANDLOCKED, BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN WE’RE dry-docked. To make that point, the fashion team at D Magazine takes its swimsuit shoot to the street. Instead of showcasing palm trees and ocean, we opt for local water landmarks. A quick glance around the downtown area uncorked a flood of aqueous opportunities for showing off the newest suits in the city.

And this season there’s a suit for everyone. Trim tanks offer an athletic élan. Teeny bikinis showcase miles of sun-kissed skin. Waist-high briefs and sport bra tops offer two-piece styling while closing the exposure gap. Swim gear also sports plenty of inner construction designed to pick up where Mother Nature may have left off. Bust-enhancing powerpads, underwire treatments, and molded bra cups top off most suits. Trim liners provide tummy control. Spandex works its wonders.

interested only in suits sporting the top trends? Go for bold blasts of eye-popping brights. Try touches of tempting textures. Or take the plunge into perky prints-floral fantasies, retro-ginghams, and tie-dye designs that shake off their hippie attitude.
