Letters About Letters
HERE WE GO AGAIN. PERENNIAL CANDIdate-for-something Roy Williams (D Mail, March) says that a vast, shadowy
Bent Tree-hatched conspiracy was behind his omission from a January D Magazine story about mayoral
candidates.
Such thinking does little to solve the city’s problems, but it does help to explain why so many voters find Williams
unattractive. He should hope that one day, someone finds him important enough to conspire against.

More Than Window Dressing
OK,OK, AS A NEWCOMER TO THE BIG D, I’ll admit I was skeptical, “Ten Sexiest People in Dallas?” [“Sex in Dallas,”
February]. This oughta be good for a laugh or two. Then I saw Stubbs Davis.
If the inside is anything like the window dressing, I can say unequivocally that “nice” is sexy! How refreshing! And
bully for you for not conforming to the current bad boy=sex god mentality.

Beyond Glamour
YOUR READERS MAY OCCASIONALLY LIKE to have something of real, common interest to read, Articles relating to the
glamorous, and those who aspire to be glamorous, can best be dealt with by daily papers and Hollywood rags, either
of which are a dime a dozen.

Signs of the Times
IF YOUR FEBRUARY ISSUE IS ANY INDICA-tion of future issues-please-are you turning into the Dallas Observer?
Obviously you not only condone but encourage promiscuous sex and if that isn’t enough, advertise where pornographic
material can be purchased. Signs of the times, but could you be a little more tactful?

WELCOME BACK! I WAS TRULY DELIGHTED to see the return of our city magazine and particularly with Chris Tucker as
editor. For years I always started D from the back-with his column. Now I’ll start at the front-from the
editor’s page.
By the way, I also like the home section by Derro Evans-informative and beautiful.

It Just Goes to Show
WITH CHRIS TUCKER AS EDITOR, D Magazine is realty hack. The March issue was better than ever. It just goes to
show you that, here in Dallas, anything is possible. Now, if Roger Staubach would just buy the Dallas Cowboys…
