THUMBS DOWN to District Attorney JOHN VANCE lor vowing to retry County Commissioner JOHN WILEY PRICE on assault charges. Granted, the race-baiting tactics of Price’s lawyer were despicable, but the case seems fraught with reasonable doubt, starting with the plaintiffs admission that he changed his story several times. Vance should spare us the community friction and the expense a second trial would bring.
