The Aberlour Makes a Perfect Break.

So you think you’ve done everything in sports? You’ve been ringside in Zaire and watched the greatest heavyweight
championship fight in the world and you’ve mint julepped in the owners’ boxes at the Kentucky Derby. You’ve
sipped champagne and nibbled strawberries courtside at Wimbledon and you’ve cheered Argentina on to victory in the
World Cup. And you’ve stood on the 18th green at Augusta during a sudden death playoff. So you really think
you’ve done it all.

Well, maybe not quite, because if you weren’t included on the guest list to participate in the Aberlour/Whisky
Tasters First Annual Invitational Croquet Tournament in Dallas, you may have missed the cut!

The International Order of the Brotherhood of Scotch Whisky Tasters hosted this dress white affair at the
posh Verandah Club. The Whisky Taster organization was founded in Geneva, Switzerland by brothers
Alan and Mike McDonald. The purpose of the exclusive 100 member men’s group is to promote brotherhood and the
furtherance of single malt whisky tasting.

Since its earliest beginnings in the days of the Victorian Empire, croquet has been synonymous with the elegance and
sophistication of that era.

Clutching a $1,000 handmade John Jacques & Son mallet in one hand and delicate holding a tumbler of
Aberlour in the other, the Palm Beach set challenged each other at one of the world’s most interesting
games.

“Croquet is a combination of chess and billiards and I play it in the most beautiful locations in the world. It is
the power game of the nineties and Aberlour is the finest single malt whisky on the market today. It’s a
match made in heaven”, said Andrew Adler, Managing Director of Seibu Corporation, a Dallas based real estate
energy and restaurant investment company.

During the tournament some of the guests kicked up their heels to the sounds of the Steve Bayless Trio. This year’s
winners were Alan McDonald and John Carter. Their play was impeccable as they soundly defeated Gary
Brooks and Julio Iglesias in the finals.

As the last bottles of Aberlour and Pimm’s Cup were quaffed, the guests moved on to dinner and to strategize about
next year’s tournament. The Aberlour and the Whisky Tasters sure know how to throw a party.
