THUMBS DOWN WHAT PRICE CONSCIENCE?

THUMBS DOWN to County Commissioner JOHN WILEY PRICE for his decision to deface billboards advertising cigarettes and alcohol. There is no denying that these products cause death and misery for millions-and not only minorities-each year. Still, Price should have exhausted all legal means before undertaking to break the law. His act, performed while a legally elected official sworn to uphold the law, sets a poor example for the many young people who admire him.
