THUMBS UP DALLAS POINTS OF LIGHT

THUMBS UP to RAMIRO LOPEZof the city’s Housing and Neighborhood Services department for organizing a cleanup effort in two flood-ravaged South Dallas neighborhoods. Some 60 citizens and city workers gave up a day off to do grueling, dirty work without pay; the inspiring venture gives true meaning to the word community. Let’s hope that future cleanup drives are better publicized and even more successful.
