THUMBS UP to Dallas County Judge LEE JACKSON, a Republican, for running (and winning) his race the old-fashioned way: by talking about serious issues for the county and emphasizing his own record. Jackson’s opponent, Democrat Max goldBlatt, also deserves praise for refusing to take the low road. The two candidates restored some semblance of honor to our battered election system.
