THUMBS DOWN to DISD superintendent MARVIN EDWARDS and his inept bureaucracy for failing in the most basic task that alleged “educators” must perform: getting learning materials into the hands of the students whose parents paid for them. As of early November, thousands of DISD students were still without sufficient textbooks. Kids shared books, homework was curtailed, and the district once again looked awful. What do they do with those tax dollars?
