Thumbs down to Domingo Garcia, Roger Kallenberg, Charlotte Ragsdale, and the other “pro-democracy” demonstrators who disrupted City Council meetings with headline-grabbing stunts-such as appearing draped in chains-during the weeks leading up to the City Charter election. The protesters sullied the name of Martin Luther King Jr. and other martyrs as they tried to make voters forget a central fact: the process that led to the 10-4-1 plan being placed on the ballot was fair, open, and democratic.
