The Design Council

The Design Council for the Symphony Showhouse plays an important role in the overall concept and color palette choice for the Showhouse. They assist in the Designer Open House Reception. The members work to achieve harmony from room to room with each of the designers’ concepts in mind. Working closely with Lisa Gilchrist (the Murchisons’ designer) and Murchison Development, Inc., the Design Council coordinated the general philosophy of the house.

Chairman: Jeannine Bazer-Schwartz, F.A.S.I.D.; principal of IDS-B, Inc.; chairman. Industry Foundation of state chapter of the A.S.I.D.

Mariana Greene, free-lance writer; former editor of Texas Homes

magazine. For the past three years she has written a home and design feature for Dallas Life Magazine. (The Dallas Morning News)

John Marrs, A.S.I.D.; S.E.G., Inc.; Second Vice-President of Texas chapter of the A.S.I.D.; worked on design of the 1985 Dallas Symphony Showhouse

Joyce K. Wynn, A.S.I.D.; J.K.W. Designs; recently opened Tenison House Gallery; on the board of the Texas Association for Interior Design, a political action coalition for monitoring governmental affairs pertaining to clients and the interior design profession
