The Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce has set up a fund to purchase semiautomatic handguns for police officers. The police department recently okayed the use of the weapon by police, but didn’t allocate funds to purchase the guns, which cost from $450 to $600 each. Send contributions to the chamber’s Quality of Life Foundation for Metropolitan Dallas. No kidding.
