Thumbs down to nine Dallas-area members of the Texas House of Representatives-Bill Blackwood, Kim Brimer, Tony Goolsby, Fred Hill Anita Hill, Ken Marchant. A.R. Ovard, Glen Repp, and Gwyn Shea. The Republican members refused to sign a House resolution expressing sympathy for the 3,500 Texans who have died of AIDS and commending “AIDS educators and caregivers” for their efforts. Regardless of one’s view of homosexuality, surely it is appropriate to remember the dead and those who worked to ease their suffering.
